World Voices Uganda (WVU)

WVU is a locally founded NGO that was conceived to respond to human rights violations, lack of access to justice by the poor, alarming poverty, poor health, rampant corruption and ethnic conflicts that were eating the moral and socio-political fabric of society in Uganda.
Project title: Enhancing access to justice for the poor and most vulnerable persons in Albertine and Rwenzori Region (AEJPA)
Brief description: The project aims at enhancing access to justice for the poor and vulnerable persons, promote and protect people's rights. This will be done through; community awareness on legal rights and responsibilities, promotion of linkages between informal and formal justice mechanism, provision of legal aid services to the indigent persons including victims of sexual and gender-based violance, and land and property rights disputes.
Geographical coverage: Kagadi, Kibaale, Kakumiro, Kyegegwa and Kyenjojo districts
