Uganda Radio Network (URN)

URN is a news agency and journalism training centre that started in October 2005. URN provides accurate and reliable news and information to media outlets around the country, while at the same time increasing the capacity of local journalists to report on pertinent issues in democracy, governance, human rights and the rule of law, local government, the environment, farming and education, health, infrastructure, education, technology and sports.

Project title: Quality Media Content for Wider Civic Space.

Brief description: The project is focused on amplifying citizens’ voices and strengthening independent media that enables and promotes accountability in Uganda.
