Rwenzori Anti-Corruption Coalition (RAC)

RAC is a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) which functions as a coalition of Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), individuals, and institutions involved in the anti-corruption crusade in the Rwenzori region of Uganda and across the country. Officially launched in July 2003, RAC envisions an empowered society, free of corruption and able to shape its socio-economic destiny. RAC works to empower communities to establish and use social accountability mechanisms to reduce corruption in public service delivery.

Project title:  Rwenzori Local Accountability Project II

Brief description: The project seeks to address local accountability, corruption and service delivery at local government level by empowering the rights holders to demand for accountability and improved service delivery from the duty bearers and also holding duty bearers accountable for their actions through various engagements.

Geographical coverage: Kabarole, Bunyangabu, Kasese, Kyegegwa, Kyenjojo, Bundibugyo, Ntoroko, and Kamwenge districts.
