Muslim Centre for Justice Law (MCJL)

The Muslim Centre for Justice and Law (MCJL) is a local not for profit Non-Governmental organisation founded in 2009 to advocate for the rights of the most vulnerable members of our society. It is dedicated to promoting and advancing justice, tolerance and human rights in Uganda. The organisation has a primary focus on members of the grassroots communities and further encompasses the diverse community as a whole.

Project title:  Enhancing Access to Justice for the Poor and Marginalised Particularly in Selected Muslim Communities in Uganda.

Brief description: The project will provide  legal aid to people across different faiths with a special  focus on the Muslim community especially addressing discrimination against Muslim women who are too poor to use the formal justice structures.

Geographical coverage: Kampala, Mpigi, Bugiri, Mayuge and Butambala districts.
