Maendeleo ya Jamii (MYJ) is a non-profit, multidisciplinary organization with a passion for innovation in working with and for communities towards meaningful development. In recent years, the organization has successfully established a strong reputation for its commitment towards its work among the various parties with which it has collaborated, including community members, local government, central government, and development partners. Project title: Elevating Local Priorities in Uganda's Petroleum Development
Brief description: The project seeks to improve responsiveness of duty bearers and rights holders towards women and men; and to develop the competencies of sub-national associations to actively pursue their issue based interests in a manner that is sustainable.
Geographical coverage: Nwoya, Gomba, Mpigi, Mubende, Wakiso, Buliisa, Hoima, Kanungu, Rukungiri, Ntoroko, Moyo, and Yumbe districts.
