The Human Rights Centre Uganda (HRCU)

The Human Rights Centre Uganda (Centre) is a non-profit organization established in November 2008 to contribute to the protection and promotion of the rights of human rights defenders in Uganda.

Project title:  Strengthening support and protection of the rights of Human Rights Defenders in Uganda.

Brief description: The project focuses on strengthening support and protection of the rights of Human Rights Defenders in Uganda. It seeks to address their capacity gaps, increase their legal recognition and enhance collaboration with the state to ensure their legal recognition.

Geographical coverage: Arua, Hoima, Kapchorwa, Kasese, Lira, Kampala, and Masaka districts.
