Global Rights Alert (GRA)

Global Rights Alert (GRA) is a Non-Governmental Organization working to promote good governance of Uganda's natural resources. Working with local communities, GRA facilitates access to information and provides platforms for local community participation. Because natural resource governance and exploitation can more often increase human rights risks and violations, GRA facilitates communities in natural resource rich areas to demand and access justice by building their capacity to advocate for transparency and accountability, monitor human rights trends and meaningfully support the country's development programmes.

Project Title:  Promoting Community Interests in Extractives Sector Development

Brief Description: The project aims at positioning oil and mineral rich communities to realise benefits from the exploitation of natural resources in their areas through creating a resilient community that ably pursues their interests

Geographical coverage: Hoima, Buliisa, Kyankwanzi, Mubende, Lwengo, Rakai, Sembabule, and Gomba districts.
