African Youth Initiative Network (AYINET)

The African Youth Initiative Network (AYINET), Uganda Chapter was founded in 2005 and is based in Lira, Uganda. AYINET is an independent national not-for-profit organization to provide physical and psychosocial care and rehabilitation in the regions of Uganda affected by the Lord's Resistance Army conflict. AYINET specifically supports victims of mutilation and sexual and gender based violence inflicted during the two decade-long war. It also provides psychosocial support to victim groups.
Project Title: Second Phase of Rehabilitating Communities and Victims for Effective Recovery (RECOVER II)
Brief Description: The project will help rehabilitating victims of conflict and conflict affected communities, for effective recovery and enabling community participation in transitional justice processes.
Geographical coverage: Lira, Alebtong, Oyam, Otuke, Dokolo, Kole, Apac, Agago, Pader, Lamwo, Kitgum, Gulu, Amuru, Kaberamaido, Amuria, Soroti,Yumbe, Moyo, Adjumani, Arua, and Nebbi districts
