Protection of Human Rights, Access to Justice and Gender Equality
This sphere supports the implementation of existing human rights and gender equality frameworks and needed legislative reforms; strengthens the capacity of the most marginalized people to access justice and claim their rights, and assist duty bearers in fulfilling their obligations to ensure human rights protection, gender equality, rule of law and a just society for everyone. The areas of interventions for this sphere are: upholding human rights; improving access to justice and transitional justice for the poor and most vulnerable groups; addressing violence, torture and impunity; and upholding pro-gender equality legislation.
