The press statement condemns the ongoing human rights violations and abuses meted out on the public by security agencies, particularly the Police and Local Defense Unit (LDU), especially during the enforcement of governmnet directives to curb the spread of COVID-19.  The statement proposes several recommendations and actions that should be considered to halt the violation and abuse of the citizens’ rights.
