Civic Response on Environment and Development (CRED)

CRED is a non-partisan, not for profit, public interest oriented policy research and advocacy organization. CRED implements a range of activities with the view of empowering and facilitating the local people to demand for reforms rule of law. In doing this, CRED works with government agencies, partner NGOs, donor community, faith-based institutions, cultural institutions, community-based organizations among other stakeholders to build strong research-based grass-roots movement that advocates for change.

Project Title:  Community Extractives Governance Project

Brief Description: The project seeks to strengthen community awareness on rights to land and potential benefits from the oil and gas sector, provision of legal aid services to communities, influencing oil and mineral sector pro people policies and legal frameworks and building the capacity of local governments on natural resources governance
