Judicial Training Workshop On Case Management & Advocacy

The African Prisons Project (APP) together with the Judicial Training Institute (JTI) have organised a two-day training workshop titled: "Judicial Training on Case Management and Advocacy" to strengthen the technical capacity of judicial officers with responsibility for administration of justice with knowledge, skills and best practices.


Training Objectives:

  1. Promote the understanding and sharing of best practices in the administration of justice in line with the judiciary’s objectives.
  2. Strengthen capacity regarding case backlog and pretrial detention in order to ensure that justice is served.
  3. Foster an understanding about key concepts and tools available within the law to address indicators related to access to justice within the criminal justice system.


Target Participants:

Magistrates of all levels sitting in courts within greater Kampala and representatives from the Office of the Directorate of Public Prosecution (DPP).
